ABOUT THE POINTE SHOE LADY
Lynne Wilson R.N., B.A., a registered nurse with over 20 years of classical ballet training, is an expert fitter for Principal pointe shoes by appointment in her home in Toronto, Ontario. Along with ballet shoe sales, she provides a private one hour free assessment, consultation and instruction to her pointe shoe clients and has given workshops and seminars on fitting pointe shoes. She will also consult on how to improve the fit and comfort of shoes purchased elsewhere for a fee. A perfect fit is her specialty: her primary mission is to promote the health and safety of dancers. Testimonials are available.
Principal pointe shoes are designed and made by a Canadian company, Principal by Chan Hon Goh Inc., owned and operated by past principal dancer of The National Ballet of Canada, Chan Hon Goh and her master teacher husband Che Chun, with medical input into the shoe design. Lynne's knowledge and experience have allowed her to assist in the development of Principal shoes and to design a style sold exclusively by her.
Pointe shoes are $85, canvas slippers are $30 and accessories are separately priced.
The Pointe Shoe Lady is a unique project of The Volunteer Committee, The National Ballet of Canada (Registered Charitable Organization # 834708216RR0001) donates all the profits to the Committee’s Build-a-Ballet Fund which provides new ballet repertoire to The National Ballet of Canada.
